NEW PRODUCTION MANAGER IN WHITSTABLE.
A leading manufacturer of a range of complex electronic applications for the military and aerospace industries are searching for a Production Manager to join their dynamic team based in Whitstable, Kent.
Our client is looking for a proactive Production Manager to join their CNC shop, leading from the front and driving the continuous improvement initiatives and developing the team.
Responsibilities as an Production Manager in Whitstable.
- Lead daily operations of the machine shop, driving efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Embed and champion TPM, 5S, Lean and Continuous Improvement practices.
- Translate strategic goals into daily shop floor actions aligned with KPIs.
- Manage and develop staff through coaching, structured appraisals, and succession planning.
- Coordinate production planning, capacity forecasting, and material availability with purchasing.
- Analyse and improve processes to reduce waste, scrap, and downtime.
- Ensure strong communication across shifts and departments through structured meetings and reporting.
- Oversee training, skills matrix management, and employee development initiatives.
Requirements as an Production Manager in Whitstable.
- HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering, Operations, or Manufacturing Management
- Proven leadership in a production/manufacturing environment
- Hands-on knowledge of CNC machining processes
