HiSpeed Ltd. designs, develops and tests tailor-made, highly efficient compact electric powertrains, drives, machines and inverters for traction applications. As part of our expansion, we are seeking a practical and hands-on Production Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist the team in prototype and small-volume production operations, and support R&D activities. This role requires a strong background in practical engineering skills, a proactive attitude towards problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the day-to-day electric motor prototype building or small- volume production operations
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot prototype production equipment and machinery
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions specific to prototype and small-volume production
• Provide support in the design and assembly of jigs, fixtures, and tooling required for prototype production and testing
• Collaborate with the R&D team on the development and testing of new products and processes
• Provide feedback and suggestions for design improvements based on practical production insights
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the workplace
Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
• Practical experience in operating and maintaining production equipment and machinery
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Proactive, with a strong sense of initiative and ability to work independently
• Adaptable and open to learning new skills and techniques
• Practical experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is beneficial
• Any relevant technical certifications or training courses will be considered a plus
