Quality Inspection Manager Job – Greenwich

We are recruiting on behalf of an exciting and well-established manufacturing client based in Greenwich, London, who are looking to appoint a talented Quality Inspection Manager to lead their inspection and control operations.

This Quality Inspection Manager job is responsible for leading all site-based Quality Inspection and Control activities, ensuring Production and Warehouse teams are fully supported with the appropriate inspection resources.

You will take ownership of inspection planning, risk-based methodologies, non-conformance management, and team development. This job plays a crucial role in maintaining operational performance and ensuring products meet technical, regulatory, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities for the Quality Inspection Manager job:

• Lead and manage all Quality Inspection and Control activities across site.
• Allocate inspection resources effectively and implement a risk-based inspection approach.
• Ensure non-conformances are identified, raised, investigated, and closed in a timely manner.
• Provide technical guidance on pass/fail decisions in line with engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Deliver weekly quality reporting and support investigations into significant quality issues.
• Develop, coach, and performance-manage the inspection team while ensuring QHSE compliance.

Skills and experience required for the Quality Inspection Manager job:

• An Engineering degree or equivalent (highly desirable)

• Previous experience in a quality inspection or control leadership role
• Strong people management and coaching capability
• Experience within a manufacturing/production environment
• The confidence to make technical decisions under pressure
• Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders, auditors, and cross-functional teams
