Active-PCB manufactures mixed technology PCB assemblies for high- reliability markets such as Aerospace, Formula 1, Medical and Broadcast, in production batches of small to medium size. Due to an increase in level of business, there are opportunities in the production department for the following team members:

PCB Assembler Must be able to:

1 Solder conventional components to IPC-A-610, class 3.

2 Pre-form, insert and crop component leads using hand tools such as cutters, pliers etc

3 Understand component identification codes such as resistors, capacitors and ICs

4 Work from assembly drawings and items lists

5 Incorporate modifications such as wire links and track cuts

6 Understand the general requirements for PCB assembly and static control

7 Hand place surface mount components

Surface Mount Machine Operator Must be able to:

1 Set up and run surface mount (SMT) pick and place machines, screen printers and reflow ovens. Knowledge of Juki and DEK would be an advantage. Must have the fine pitch experience and preferably BGA.

2 Understand surface mount component identification such as resistors, capacitors, ICs etc

3 Work from assembly drawings and items lists

4 Understand the general quality requirements for surface mount assembly to IPC-A-610

5 Understand the requirements of static protection

Quality Inspector 1 Must have the same basic skills as a PCB Assembly Operator

2 Must have previous inspection experience to IPC-A-610 class 3

3 Must be prepared to work using inspection magnification equipment for most of the day

4 Must be able to hand-solder fine pitch surface mount components, remove bridges, replace components
