NEW QUALITY LEAD ROLE WITH A WORLD LEADING CLIENT IN EASTBOURNE, EAST SUSSEX!

Are you passionate about quality assurance and process improvement? Do you have a strong track record in managing quality teams and implementing effective Quality Management Systems? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Quality Lead in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

The Quality Lead will be responsible for the consistent delivery of quality components and products for our client based in Eastbourne, East Sussex. Championing quality to the site, managing the workflow of quality issues, in the team and site as a whole. Drive a closed-loop approach to the identification, prioritization, and resolution of systemic failures and non-conformity as well as support identification of opportunities for continual improvement of our key processes. To deliver a robust Quality Management System ensuring compliance with company requirements, relevant International standards ISO 9001, and relevant legislative requirements.

Main Responsibilities for the Quality Lead:

  1. Lead and support the quality team in managing workflow efficiently.
  2. Coordinate the investigation and resolution of customer complaints and NCR’s, ensuring the 8D process is consistently followed.
  3. Lead the identification of opportunities for the continual improvement of key quality processes on site and make improvements as appropriate.
  4. Report to top management on the performance of the QMS, including the need for improvement.
  5. Ensure that the Eastbourne PC’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, ISO 9001, and regulatory/legal requirements.
  6. Manage the monitoring, measurement, review, and auditing of internal processes affecting product quality.
  7. Oversee the accuracy and timely inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring devices.
  8. Lead quality team people management, including PPDR, 1:1’s, and recruitment.

Experience needed for the Quality Lead role:

  • Strong communication skills in spoken and written English.
  • Experience in leading/managing a quality function.
  • Membership of the Chartered Quality Institute preferred.
  • Proficiency in report writing and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Scope of the Job: This role reports directly to the SHEQ Manager and plays a pivotal role in identifying and proposing improvements to key processes on site. You will contribute to the achievement of the business objectives outlined in the site OGSM.
