Position: Regulatory and Compliance Specialist, Location: Hatfield
Our client is a forward-thinking organization committed to excellence in all aspects of their operations. As a Regulatory and Compliance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping their company’s core policies and procedures, setting targets, and driving continuous improvement in Regulatory and Compliance activities. You will be responsible for aligning their practices with industry best standards and mitigating risks associated with regulatory matters.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Regulatory and Compliance Specialist:
- Applying Regulations: You will be responsible for understanding and applying national and international regulations and standards to our products and activities, ensuring compliance at all times.
- Certification Management: Maintain and administer all relevant third-party certifications for our company and products in line with our policies.
- Product Development: Participate in product development programs, ensuring compliance, conformance, and testing, both pre-compliance and with third-party entities.
- GDPR Support: Provide guidance and support in matters relating to GDPR frameworks required by our business.
- Data Management: Promote high-quality data management and performance improvement across all organizational areas associated with compliance.
- Framework Development: Use your expertise to develop and embed a compliance framework within our organization, accounting for wider regulatory requirements related to our products and services.
- International Experience: Utilize your experience in managing compliance issues related to international trade with multiple countries in an export environment.
What We’re Looking For in a Regulatory and Compliance Specialist:
- Regulatory Expertise: Understanding of CE requirements, including but not limited to RoHS, RED, LVD, EMC, REACH, SDS data management cycles, UL declarations, WEEE declarations, and Declarations of Conformity (DoC).
- Experience: At least three years in a technical function within an OEM, with experience in managing compliance projects.
- Technical Skills: Ability to understand complex schematic circuit diagrams, technical drawings, product manufacture, and manufacturing techniques.
- Problem Solver: A hands-on approach to solving engineering problems and excellent task prioritization skills.
- Self-Motivated: You thrive under pressure, are creative, forward-thinking, efficient, and an effective time manager.
- Team Player: You work well across disciplines and departments, both nationally and internationally.
- Safety Awareness: Health and Safety awareness, including the use of appropriate PPE.
