This is a Sales Manager, Head of Sales role which keeps you close to the clients and expects you to manage / influence and develop a team. Our industrial components are critical in the operation of virtually every major electronic device on the planet. We have solid foundations with plenty of opportunities to grow, your drive, leadership and skills are what is missing.

BASIC SALARY: £60,000 – £65,000

LOCATION: Northampton

JOB DESCRIPTION: European Head of Sales, European Sales Manager, Head of Sales – Industrial / Electronic Components

Currently, we are a £8m turnover business, we are looking to grow and push on beyond the £10m mark. It will not be easy, although a proactive Head of Sales / European Sales Manager is a vital part of our plan.

· You will play a major part in working with and developing the team (4). There is a good mix of experience, however, they do need challenging, mentoring, and supporting.
· Our sector is a challenge, as new product development is not hugely forthcoming, therefore, creating a propelling message and consistently staying at the forefront of client’s or potential clients’ minds is demanding.
· Identifying and targeting new OEMs in sectors we have a story to tell / sell.
· Maintain and where possible grow the two key major industrial distribution partners (c£4m).
· You’ll be pivotal in bringing the sales team ‘closer’ to the other parts of the business, as currently, we are too disconnected.
· Work with Marketing to develop and implement a cohesive marketing plan for the product sector including; market positioning, pricing, product offer definition, product development, promotions, and end-user strategies.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: European Head of Sales, European Sales Manager, Head of Sales – Industrial / Electronic Components

Ultimately as our European Sales Manager, you’ll be a people manager, someone who can clearly demonstrate how you have developed and grown individuals in the past or made the difficult decision to make changes when necessary. You will still enjoy client management and new business.

Most likely you will have:
· Experience working with an industrial component manufacturer.
· Run teams who sell both via distribution channels and direct to OEMS (across Europe).
· Managed a sales budget of £5-£10million
· Personally managed multimillion industrial distribution relationships.
