You’ll play a key role in the design and development of cutting-edge electronic products, from circuit design and PCB layout to prototype testing, while engaging directly with clients to provide technical expertise and support seamless product integration.
Key Responsibilities of a Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer
- Develop new products from customer requirements through to delivery
- Design custom electronic boards – schematic capture and PCB layout
- Conduct board bring-up, verification, and testing
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering team
- Liaise with clients on integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Prepare technical documentation and reports
Skills & Experience Required for a Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer
- 7+ years of electronics design experience in industry
- Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related discipline
- Strong analogue and digital circuit design experience
- Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout
- Knowledge of microcontrollers, memory, power supplies, and wireless technologies
- Understanding of design for manufacture and EMC
Desirable
- Experience with WiFi, Bluetooth, or Zigbee
- Familiarity with Altium Designer
- Knowledge of C, C++ or Python
- Embedded software development experience
- Background in consultancy or R&D environments
