About the role
We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join our team in Brighton. In this role, you will work alongside our talented development team to deliver fast and accurate designs, ensuring business continuity and supporting our internal and external customers technically.
- Take charge of leading the design and feasibility plan to bring your creative vision to life and ensure seamless implementation across all our product ranges, both new and existing.
- Collaborate other teams and gain a understanding of technology across all platforms to identify dependencies, mitigate risks, and recommend solutions that keep us ahead of the game.
- Proactively lead technical discussions and drive issues closure with all relevant parties.
- Lead the way in technical discussions, keeping project and management teams updated at all times.
- Actively participate in technical forums to make confident decisions.
- Communicate technical changes and their impact to the team, while coaching and supporting team members in their deliverables to achieve extraordinary results.
- Be accountable for the highest quality delivery of our work, setting the bar high and exceeding all expectations.
- Develop detailed engineering work plans and requirements/specifications to ensure that every project meets its objectives and timelines.
- Provide design maintenance support for critical issues, such as obsolescence.
- Verify designs in accordance with engineering procedures and regulatory standards, ensuring that every product we release is of the highest quality.
- Approve designs and engineering changes for general release, giving your seal of approval to the best and brightest ideas.
What are we looking for?
- A team player, someone who can openly communicate and provide honest collaboration in an effective way.
- Background in a similar role such as Electronics Design Engineer or relevant degree in an engineering discipline.
- Experience in using relevant CAD tools for creation of schematic diagrams and also electro-mechanical assemblies.
