Octagon Group is working with a leading technology business seeking a Senior Electronic Design Engineer to join their collaborative R&D team.

In this role, you’ll be involved throughout the full product lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through to prototyping, testing, and supporting production. You’ll design high-speed digital and analogue circuits, work with FPGAs, DSPs, and power supplies, and produce schematics and PCB layouts (Altium). You’ll collaborate closely with software, mechanical, and test engineers to bring advanced products to market.

Ideally: 

You’ll be a degree-qualified electronics engineer with experience designing complex digital and analogue circuits in a commercial setting. You should be confident with FPGAs, DSPs, power supply design, and high-speed digital systems, with hands-on PCB design experience. 
 

Key Skills:

• Digital & analogue circuit design (FPGA, DSP, ADC/DAC)

• Power supply design (linear & SMPS)

• Schematic capture & PCB layout (Altium ideal)

• EMC/ESD compliance, prototyping & test
