Senior Mechanical Design Engineer job available in Edinburgh, Scotland.

This same team are leading the way in the design of futuristic cock pits and control centres for next generation fighter jets and designing totally reliable and energy efficient heart monitors?

You will be working for one of the globes leading research and design companies based in Scotland’s famous capital city, Edinburgh. Edinburgh is known worldwide for being one the hubs of technology and scientific discovery. Remember this is the city where Alexander Graham Bell invented the first telephone, John Logie Baird invented the television and Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin and insulin.

 

You don’t necessarily have to have designed these types of products before. The most important thing is that you love what you do, and you are willing to push the boundaries to create technology that will change the planet!

 

With more and more projects coming in there is a need for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh, Scotland.

 

This job is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex mechanical design for products which are used in hospitals, aircrafts, supercomputers across the globe.

 

The Job

 

You will primarily be involved in full cradle to grave design of medical devices ideally using solidworks.  This is a full-product-life cycle job, working on projects from initial concept and then taking through to manufacture.  You will be a senior member of the R&D team which means you will be involved in elements of team leading and managing proposals. This job comes with the opportunities of promotion to team lead / management level positions.
