An excited opportunity has opened for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a market leader in photonic technology based in Northamptonshire. Their innovative products range from biometric security in mobile devices, to laser vision in autonomous vehicles, to connecting the world at faster data speeds and they focus on three major markets: cloud and networking, advanced manufacturing, and 3D sensing.
The job:
They are now looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic, fast paced multi-disciplined team where you will be responsible for providing robust solutions from either initial concept through to full working production mechanical assemblies or modifications to existing mechanical systems. You will also be liaising with external suppliers and stakeholders so you will need to be good communicator.
Skills required for Senior Mechanical Design Engineer job in Northamptonshire:
- Experience in 3D mechanical design using Solidworks
- Experience of optoelectronic or/and semiconductor technologies
- Experience in mechanical analysis and technical documentation
- Experience in full product lifecycle development.
