A leading research and development organisation based in Uxbridge, Greater London are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Aerospace / Defence to join their expanding engineering team.
This company design and manufacture high-power electronics for aerospace, defence, and military technology. They have over 35years experience and 200+ employees. They are going through a fantastic period of expansion.
Job details: As the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Aerospace / Defence you will design robust electro-mechanical enclosures for extremely harsh aerospace and military environments. You will have to work closely with Electronics / Electrical Engineers to ensure products meet heat, shock, and vibration tolerances.
Skills and Experience required:
- Experience in Mechanical 3D CAD Design using SolidWorks or a similar CAD tool.
- Previous experience with designing electronic enclosures for ruggedised products / harsh environments.
- To have a good understanding of thermal analysis and FEA tools.
- All applicants will be academically qualified in mechanical engineering or similar.
- All applicants must have resided in the UK for over 5 years or hold a British passport for basic security clearance purposes.
