A market leading technology business in Huntingdon supplying audio technology to the consumer electronic and automotive industries have an exciting new vacancy in their R&D team. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Electronic Enclosures to join their multidisciplinary design team and work on the development of innovative new products.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Electronic Enclosures job:

• Leading the mechanical design effort from initial design concept through to prototyping and manufacture
• Ensure all designs and documentation are completed within agreed project timescales  
• Supporting all aspects of the product through the design and manufacture process

Key skills / experience required for the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Electronic Enclosures job:

• Extensive experience in the design of electronics enclosures
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as extrusions and mouldings, sheet metalwork and laser cutting
• Competent in the use of a 3D CAD package for design
