A leading research and development organisation based near Weybridge in Surrey have started 2022 by investing into their R&D team. We are currently recruiting for 12 engineering jobs across the business, with plans to add a further 15 engineers this year. Following on from a very successful year we're looking for a Senior level Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team near Weybridge in Surrey.
This organisation develops incredibly complex electro-mechanical sensor based instrumentation for harsh environments. Their products include plastics, ceramics, sheet metal and composite materials. The role of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to take responsibility for new product development including 3D CAD design using SolidWorks, simulation, tolerance analysis and assisting with CNC machining. This role involves a mix of design and technical leadership.
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer skills / experience required:
- 3D CAD development capabilities using SolidWorks.
- Strong CFD analysis skills.
- Previous experience in packaging, housing or creating enclosures for electronic instrumentation.
- Exposure to plastics, ceramic, metals and composites.
- Full product lifecycle mechanical development – design, test, simulation, and analysis.
- Experience with CNC machining.
