An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Planner to join a dynamic project controls team based in Avonmouth, Gloucestershire. This role offers a chance to work on complex, large-scale projects, playing a pivotal part in delivering integrated master project schedules and associated outputs.

The Senior Planner will take ownership of key planning tools, processes, and templates, ensuring all outputs meet high-quality standards and are aligned with project and business requirements. This position involves leading the planning process, from establishing the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to delivering baselined schedules, and providing essential reporting including Earned Value Management (EVM) and resource analysis.

Operating with significant autonomy, the Senior Planner in Avonmouth will be instrumental in mentoring and guiding junior planners, integrating their outputs into the master programme. The role requires someone with strong technical skills who can challenge, validate, and enhance planning data, ensuring robust project control.

Key responsibilities for the Senior Planner include:

  • Maintaining and assuring master project schedules for large projects.

  • Leading integrated reporting and delivering key outputs to both the business and clients.

  • Managing and promoting planning tools and processes across teams.

  • Supporting project management with high-level programme data and insights.
