Published Description:
Our growing, international publicly traded client is looking for a Senior Power Electronics Engineer based in Ontario, Canada with demonstrated experience specifying, designing, and implementing SMPS .

This Senior Power Electronics Engineer position in Ontario – Canada requires someone with at least some industrial experience in a Senior Power Supply Design role or relevant power electronics design experience in any of the following areas: power converters/ conversion/management, switching / switch mode power supply units (PSU), inverters, power electronics design equipment, analogue electronics design, control loop design and power magnetics design (transformer, chokes or inductors).solid experience in delivering solutions and testing.
You will work closely with other members of the product team.

Responsibilities as a Senior Power Electronics Engineer: 

• To be a strong team-player while being a subject matter expert
• Solve complex problems through analysis, troubleshooting and implementation

Qualifications and experience needed as a Senior Power Electronics Engineer:

• Knowledge of printed circuit board (PCB) design, EMI, EMC and safety regulatory compliance, and power conversion topologies (buck, boost, bridge, flyback, resonant or forward converters) and simulation (such as Mathcad, PSpice, Simplis, or Saber) is considered an asset.

• Bachelor’s degree in electronic or electronics engineering or in a related engineering discipline is required
