Senior Power Electronics Engineer (Gate Drives Specialist)

This is an exciting time for Power Electronics Engineers.

New components and topologies are allowing technology companies to push the boundaries of what you can do with typical power supplies which means new, ground-breaking products are starting to hit the market.

My client, who are based in Coventry, are looking for bright engineers who want to see exactly how far they can take this technology.

They are looking for a Senior Power Electronics Engineer (Gate Drivers Specialist) who will develop the Gate Drivers for the railway industry from concept stage through to production, to deliver high voltage and high-power outputs.

Responsibilities of the Senior Power Electronics Engineer (Gate Drives Specialist):

• Design and development of gate drive for power semiconductor devices, design documentation and review
• Ensure hardware solutions and detailed technical design, schematic and PCB design according to

Ideally as a Senior Power Electronics Engineer (Gate Drives Specialist) you will need to have experience in the following areas:

• At least 3 years working experience on power electronics product design (related power above 30 kW, with the voltage class of semiconductor devices above 1,200 V))
• Familiar with power electronics semiconductor device applications
• HALT, quantitative ALT life test experience
