A very successful electronics research and development organisation involved in the design and manufacture of complex high voltage power supplies for aerospace and radar applications are seeking a skilled Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join their team in Hayes, Greater London.
This team has a proven track record of being able to solve the most difficult technical challenges in transmitter, microwave amplifier, microwave tube and power supply design in the UK utilising the latest design methods and components (such as SiC and GaN).
The team is made up of some of the greatest minds in the power electronics field who have developed many patents and driven innovation in the RF and Microwave electronics fields.
As the Senior Power Electronics Engineer you will be involved in leading new products design and development projects from initial concept through to manufacture. This will involve ‘hands-on’ design for both low-voltage and high-voltage power supplies and associated circuits & topologies. You will gain the opportunity to be part of an established R&D team and work on critical projects.
Senior Power Electronics Engineer – job requirements:
- Strong experience developing power electronics and switch-mode power supplies (SMPS).
- Ability to work on electronic design from initial concept.
- Exposure with Power Amplifiers would be beneficial but not essential.
- A good academic background in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
