Senior Software Test Engineer
Position Overview:
Your role is to develop automated test suites and maintain the automated test
infrastructure to enable our engineering teams to deliver high-quality software as
effectively and efficiently as possible. Your work will typically involve supporting the
software engineering teams during new feature development as well as performing
system-wide validation testing during product release cycles. You will join our dynamic
and highly capable software test engineering team, operating within a Scaled Agile
Framework you will find yourself involved in daily team standups, iteration reviews,
retrospectives and PI planning activities.
Expect to participate in open discussions, to challenge and be challenged with
arguments based on reason, and to compromise occasionally in order to achieve team
consensus. Trust, honesty and respect for others is essential. Enthusiasm and
experience with software quality and a positive outlook towards quality improvements
is essential.
Responsibilities:
• Develop automated system test cases to support new feature verification
• Plan and execute automated and manual release validation test activities
• Create and maintain platforms and environments for system demos and release
validation testing
• Investigate test failures and create comprehensive bug reports
• Perform test code and technical documentation reviews
• Willingness to assist with urgent issues where necessary
Essential Skills:
• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable (e.g. Software Engineer in Test,
Automation Engineer, Software Quality Engineer)
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or similar
• Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux based operating systems
• Strong task management and issue tracking tools (we use Jira)
• Expertise in PlayWright GUI test automation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Candidates should have 5 years of commercial experience
• Cloud, DevOps and CI technologies (we use Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and
Bamboo)
• Working knowledge of at least one of the following languages: C#, Python,
GOLang, Rust
