Great opportunity for a motivated and hardworking individual to join a company in the Test and Measurement industry working as a Service Engineer.
Primarily performing in-house and on-site servicing of our core products of Test and Measurement Systems – Electro-dynamic and servo-hydraulic vibration systems, Environmental climatic chamber, Vibration Controller Systems, DAQ systems, Shock and Drop tester systems. You will report to the Service Manager. Training will be given where required.

As a THP Service Engineer your primary responsibility will be to support THP UK and European customers performing on-site repairs, preventative maintenances, calibrations, installations of primarily environmental chamber and vibration test systems in the automotive, aerospace, defense, transportation, and electronics industries. You will also be giving support and technical responses to customers service enquiries when required.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
As a THP Service Engineer you will work closely with the Sales and Support teams, to assist THP Systems UK and European customers.
Job duties include:
To obtain a strong technical knowledge of all products. (Training will be provided)
To build a strong relationship with the THP customers and provide a professional and efficient responses of technical information for the service.
Perform customer visits for service, calibration, maintenance, or repair.
Support and assist service admin with quotations for spare parts, calibration, and service databases.
Providing support to sales team for pre and post sales activities, if requested.
Support and assist THP test lab with any service requirements of the test lab equipment and testing.
Support and resolve THP customers with any service problem/issues, effective and efficient manner.
To be able to evaluate and perform customer tests in the THP test lab on all equipment.
Ensure and maintain all tool kit in good working order and within calibration.
To assist technically in the co-ordination of the software updates and bug fixes etc. for all THP customers.
Assist with a centralized archive of technical information, materials, and customer files.
Requirements:
Previous experience operating, supporting, and servicing one of our core products lines, preferably with a fundamental understanding of refrigeration, but not essential.
ONC/NVQ or HNC/HND (preferred) in Electro/Mechanical Engineering.
Basic understanding of Mechanical and Electronics.
Ability to understand problems and effectively fault find the problems.
Strong communication skills.
Be creative and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Be proficient in the use of Microsoft office tools (excel, word).
Willing to travel overseas, when required (90% UK work).
Team player to work in a small growing business.
Outgoing, persuasive, success-oriented personality.
UK Clean driving license
