NEW SERVICE ENGINEER ROLE BASED IN HAILSHAM, EAST SUSSEX
Our client based in Hailsham, East Sussex specialise in designing and manufacturing a wide range of laboratory instruments for scientific testing.
The Service Engineer will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service support, timely repairs and installing applications within specified timeframes.
Responsibilities as a Service Engineer in Hailsham.
- Providing technical support to customers, distributors, and colleagues via phone, email, and site visits.
- Diagnosing and repairing faulty instruments in line with Turnaround Time targets.
- Supporting product testing, occasional instrument assembly, and installations.
- Traveling within the UK and internationally as required.
- Maintaining customer service databases to produce performance reports.
Requirements as a Service Engineer in Hailsham.
- Demonstrable experience in a relevant occupation, or HNC/HND in a mechanical or electrical subject.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, electronic, and mechanical engineering drawings.
- Competence in building wiring looms, preparing cables, and soldering/crimping joints.
- Experience fitting, testing, and commissioning systems involving medium to high vacuum levels.
