New Technical Buyer job available in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire!
A leading component manufacturer based in Cambridge are seeking a Technical Buyer to join their engineering & manufacturing organisation, at their location in Cambridge. This business offers flexible working hours, hybrid office / home working (just 2 days in the office required), 25 days annual leave, private medical cover and more! As a Technical Buyer you will be responsible for working closely with engineering and manufacturing departments to ensure the correct purchasing of a range of commodities including electronic and mechanical components. You will also be responsible for supporting all aspects of supply chain including logistics and global supplier account management.
To apply for the Technical Buyer position based in Cambridge you will need to have:
- Strong experience in a purchasing, cost engineering or Technical buyer role.
- Experience working with Quotation’s in an engineering environment.
- Experience in purchasing mechanical, electrical or electronic components.
- Proven experience in working for a product manufacture or engineering business.
- Ability to read and understand CAD drawings (AutoCAD or Solidworks or similar)
- Experience in supporting engineering with cost/value analysis.
- Any experience with an ERP / MRP system would be beneficial but NOT essential.
