As the Test Manager, you will:

1. Shape the Vision: Craft and implement strategic test engineering plans, setting the tone for cutting-edge test strategies and practices within the Eastbourne Product Company.

2. Optimize Testing Solutions: Collaborate closely with Manufacturing Managers to review and enhance existing test solutions, ensuring efficiency and productivity.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work hand in hand with Engineering Managers and NPI (New Product Introduction) teams to align and execute the overall product test strategy.

4. Resource Allocation: Ensure the test engineering function is well-equipped with internal and external resources. Develop training programs to enhance the skills of the test engineering team.

5. Stay Current: Keep abreast of electronics industry best practices for testing printed circuit assemblies and electronic higher assemblies, integrating these practices where relevant.

6. Innovation and Networking: Establish formal and informal networks to introduce new test engineering solutions. Present technical recommendations and innovative approaches to key stakeholders.

Qualifications required for the Test Manager role:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• CEng (Chartered Engineer) certification is a plus.
• A wealth of experience implementing test strategies and managing capital equipment purchases.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in electronics product testing, including Printed Circuit Assemblies.
• Proficiency in surface-mount and through-hole assembly processes, along with knowledge of electronic components and packaging.
• A strong foundation in technical and people management roles.
• Exceptional communication skills with fluency in spoken and written English.
