LOCATION: Hingham, Norfolk (NR9) – Office based role
DEPARTMENT: MTEST
SALARY: Competitive
HOURS: Full time/permanent – 38 hours per week (Mon – Thurs: 8hrs/ Fri: 6 hrs – finish early)
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Test Facility Technician within MTEST your primary function will be to support the engineers and senior technicians to execute dynamic, static & life cycle tests for both Mirus Aircraft Seating and external customers.
IN YOUR ROLE AS OUR TEST TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL:
Complete Static, Dynamic and Life Cycle test setups in accordance with test procedures.
Support dynamic development & certification testing in accordance with customer test procedures and international regulations.
Set up high speed cameras for test filming to customer requirements
Set up computer-controlled data acquisition systems.
Manufacture and maintain test fixtures and equipment as necessary.
Carry out development and certification static tests to customer and regulatory requirements.
Be responsible for maintenance of static test / life cycle area and equipment.
Review existing risk assessments the dynamic test facility and highlight any changes.
Support dynamic sled maintenance in line with engineer.
Be responsible for maintaining a high level of housekeeping.
Create and maintain a safe working environment and observe the published health and safety procedures.

Mechanical or Electrical Engineering apprenticeship.
Previous Mechanical or electrical technician/engineering experience.
Strong mechanical fitting skills.
Electrical/electronic skills.
Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Desirable:
HNC/HND in Engineering.
Experienced in a testing environment.
Photographic experience.
Data collection experience.
Knowledge of photography, high speed data and video capture.
Personal skills / attributes:
IT literate.
Ability to follow written procedures.
Excellent attention to detail.
Must be able to work independently or in a team.
Willingness to learn.
Flexible and adaptable.
High level of confidentiality and integrity.
